As information becomes more readily available, it’s become increasingly possible to “DIY” (do it yourself) matters that used to be outsourced to professionals – like solving IT issues, performing basic household maintenance, and more.
While this “DIY mindset” may prove helpful in less crucial areas of life, it can be problematic if we try handling everything ourselves – for example, trying to cure illnesses and injuries through “internet research” instead of seeing a licensed medical professional, or trying to handle legal issues ourselves, without consulting a lawyer.
